1. HARRIMAN STATE PARK

Located just over 27 miles southwest of the Wayne city center, this place can be reached in about half an hour by car, driving along route I-80.

3. DELAWARE WATER GAP NATIONAL RECREATION AREA

Spanning over 70,000 acres of territory and boasting some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the region, Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area is another great spot for birders and nature lovers. Located less than 60 miles northeast of Wayne, this place can be reached in about one hour and 15 minutes via routes I-80 and NJ-15. Some of the bird species you can find here include bald eagle, prairie warbler, and blue-winged warbler.
